Extra Curricular Clubs
CEE is proud to offer both athletic and diverse extra-curricular activities. We see our extra curricular activities as an extension of our school and therefore work to create new and exciting opportunities to meet the ever changing needs of our students. Clubs offered vary each semester to keep things exciting and to allow our staff the opportunity to bring fun new experiences to CEE via our extra curricular activities!

***Did you know... during the course of the calendar year, money that you give to the extra-curricular fund is tax refundable as part of the Arizona State Tax Credit for schools. You can donate up to $400.00 per married couple and $200.00 per single person. Club fees are used to offset the cost of supplies/uniforms and school-wide events

Art Club (Fall only)
Learn to draw using the Directed Drawing approach. This is a step by step approach to drawing something. The teacher guides or directs students in the steps to create a drawing. Students will become confident artists as they will be able to break down complex figures into basic shapes. We will also incorporate shading, painting, and color penciling into our finished pieces. All materials will be provided. Mrs. Howalt will be your guide on this adventure into the world of drawing!
Grades 2nd - 6th, Tuesdays 3:45 - 4:45
Calling for young chefs!!!! Discover new science, math, reading, health and social skills through hands on cooking experiences! While learning food preparation skills, kitchen safety, etiquette, table setting, and healthy menu planning they’ll be having fun!!! Oh, and of course eating! Mrs. Martin will be your culinary expert!

Love to sing?? Prepare to audition to join our quality music instruction program with artistic excellence in choral performance. Mr. Cruz shares his passion for singing with his students as they prepare for multiple performances throughout the year!! Download the permission slip for audition here.

CEE Theater Experience (must register in the fall)
CEE Theater Experience is back for another exciting year with our talented Mrs. Youkers, Ms. Wingo and Mrs. O'Hanlon directing the show! Drama students gain valuable knowledge of acting and theater as well as set design and costuming. Students will audition in October and begin to rehearse for our big production in April. Club space is limited to 35 students . *Saturday rehearsals required in the last weeks before the production.

CSI: Forensic Science Club (Fall only)
A crime has been committed on campus! Come join our Forensic Science club where you will have a chance to become a real CSI agent. You will get to examine a crime scene, collect evidence, analyze hair samples, stomach contents, and DNA, in addition to learning about the chain of custody and collecting fingerprints! Can you be the one to solve the mystery? Dr. Kirksey will be the Director of Investigation for this curious club!

Flag Football (Fall only)
A growing alternative to full contact football that teaches basic skills and concepts of the game . This class is designed to introduce young athletes to the game while providing a safe environment to grow in the sport . Join Coach Kelton as he teaches the basics and strategy of the game in a fun outdoor setting! Games will be scheduled and those times will be announced. Play is off site at Estrada Park. *Participants will need to fill out the wavier to be transported in the school bus - click here for the waiver.

Mock Trial Club (Spring only)
Debate and Mock Trial Club is here! Come learn how to argue real life criminal cases, learn the rules of evidence, direct and cross examination, and be witnesses. There is nothing more exciting than the drama of a courtroom and examining real evidence. Will you defend our accused or try to prove his/her guilt? Maybe you will be a witness or a member of the jury to decide his/her fate. Dr. Kirksey will guide you along the discovery path!

GO Eagles! Want to cheer for CEE at Town Meetings and other special school events?? Then let’s go!!! Gather your spirit and energy and join Ms. Hauck and Ms. Powell as they lead the cheerleaders!!

Sports Skills Club
Junior sports enthusiasts – – Pick your sport!!! Coach Kelton will be offering his expertise in teaching the fundamental skills in soccer, basketball, baseball, tennis, and volleyball!!! Come PLAY while gaining strength, agility, flexibility, eye-hand coordination and confidence!! CEE’S gym will transform into a sports Mecca!

S.T.E.A.M. Club (Spring only)
Have you heard about S.T.E.A.M.? It stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. In this club, students will work together on projects that will incorporate as many of these subjects as possible to provide a hands-on, challenging, and engaging experience. Join Ms. Howalt & Ms. Fleeton making some exciting projects like: Snowflake Crystals - Popsicle Stick Catapult - Marshmallow Engineering.

Techie Tuesdays Club
Calling all techie geeks and wannabe geeks! Explore Wixie code with Scratch and Code.Org, create and draw with Slides and Draw - all on Techie Tuesday. Mrs. Wolfgramm will lead the adventure!
Grades 3rd - 5th, Tuesdays 3:45 - 4:45 (Limited to 12 students)
Coach Kelton will be introducing the basic elements of Tennis to ensure a positive, successful, and exciting experience. You will acquire and develop new playing skills, tennis strokes, strategy, and play many, many fun games! *Participants will need to fill out the wavier to be transported in the school bus - click here for the waiver.
Grades 2nd - 8th, Wednesdays 1:30 - 3:30
The club will promote age-appropriate distance running/walking to encourage lifetime fitness and health. Led by Mrs. Smolenski and Miss O' Nan, the club's philosophy encourages principles of good sportsmanship, respect for teammates and a positive attitude toward self-improvement, confidence-building and goal-setting. Have fun and get in shape at the same time! The Ultimate goal is to complete a 3-mile walking course.

WIXIE Club (Fall only)
Learn to use Wixie, an inspiring online tool for purposeful technology integration. Students will create multimedia presentations using their writing, their art, and their voices. They’ll learn to use graphics, text, transitions, sounds, and voice recordings. They’ll choose projects tied to what they’ve learned in class and what they’ve learned on their own – science inquiry, literature response, social studies topics, art, and more! Yes, this really is a class for K - 5! Wixie is a tool children can use throughout grade school. Join Mrs . Kinneman for lots of fun!

Provides ongoing opportunities for students to participate in philanthropic projects in our local, state, nationwide, and global communities. AFC often organizes and implements and leads our school in school wide philanthropic initiatives.
